More than 5 thousands students in Najaf alone.. "Al-Sadr educational project" in details



Courses, enhancing lessons, and huge efforts is presented in one project, for more than 40 thousand female and male students, over 2500 teacher of all specializations, whom have taken the work of raising the educational conditions on their shoulders in the country, after being regressping to low levels, which led to weakening the educational process, all the way up to college's graduates on unsteady foundations.
Nearly 505 education center is now spread across the country, after adding 348 center during last year 2016, with thousands of classes, all this is part of the "Al-Sadr education project" which started 3 years back, to cover the holes and weakness of the education process, and enforce its weakened points.
To shed lights on this project, central media of Shahid Sayed Mohamed Al-Sadr office, met the supervisor of this project in honored Najaf province: Mr. Mardan Al-Bidary.

-The Idea, history, and goals of this project
The Idea was suggested by the Iraqi leader Sayed Muqtada Al-Sadr, after he seen the huge regress of the educational process, especially with the unprofessional politics of work that lead the educational process under the law of the former dictatorship government, as for the history of the project, it started between 2014-2015.
The project aims at raising the academic level of our student sons, and take them to safety by providing the necessary information to help them success and reach their goals which services the future of the country.

-Is there any cooperation from the ministry of education regarding this project?
The ministry of education did not oppose the project for it is part of its best interest, but it didn’t support it directly except by giving some formal clearness to use the buildings.

-How is the efforts of the faculty and supervisors are supported?
There is no salaries nor any financial support regarding this matter, only moral support, by certificates of approbation from certain sides, and from the Shahid Al-Sadr office, or Ahrar party, which we also thank them through for the special efforts they put up to ensure the success of this project.

-What kind of problems you faced last year and how did you handled it?
Yes there is problems, and still going, some of it is the lack of the legal cover effectiveness, through the communication with the minister of education to inform the public departments, to facilitate the work of the supervising committees, also, the lack of financial support is also an obstacle facing this project, for the success of it requires school and hospitality equipment's and transportations .. etc.
-Is there any visits from the ministry of education or the teachers syndicate?
There are no official visits except for the supervising committees and the political sides sponsoring and contributing to the success of this project.

-How the student's attendance was last year and is there any developments this year?
The attendance was very huge, as 5000 students applied to the project last year in honored Najaf province only, and we hope to reach the number of 1500 students this year Allah whiling.

-How did the students' parents reacted to the project?
The response and reaction was huge by the students' parents through calls and queries by the social media for the real usefulness they found in this project, as the students' parents and families gave their thanks and gratitude to all who worked on this project.

-Conclusion word for the central media of Shahid Sayed Mohamed Al-Sadr.
A prayer from the heart to the central media and all the bodies of Shahid Al-Sadr office, and the media bodies working to serve Iraq, thank you and your effective role in manifesting this project for the services it has for our student's sons.

Education in Iraq has been affected by the conditions of the country after the year 2003, and before it, which forced its regress to the bottom of the countries regarding the best educational systems in the world, which had in turn, negative effect on the students, on all the varied classes, forcing them into private classes and courses, which is usually very expensive, preventing the poor from entering.
